What to take
The house is fully equipped for a comfortable stay.
Towels are provided, however you may wish to bring some beach towels.
Linen is provided.
There is a travel cot and highchair available for your use - please let us know if you require it when you make your booking.
There are a couple of UK/European plug convertors in the house, however you may wish to bring your own.
Bring suncream! (or buy it when you get here). There are some hats in the house.
Laundry is changed and the house is cleaned at the end of your visit. If you wish the cleaner to visit during your stay, this can be arranged at a cost of €60.
The pool is maintained once a week, as is the garden. If you see the gardener or pool man around, please say hello!
We have recently installed broadband internet connection with wifi in the house.
There is a phone in the house.
There is a DVD player but no TV. There is a good selection of DVDs for children and adults.
There is an iPod dock in the house.
Books and Games
There is a good selection of books, toys and games, both indoor and outdoor. There are some pool toys, and these are also very cheap to buy in local supermarkets.
Charente Maritime is second only to Provence in French sunshine - it has a microclimate that allows mild winters and very warm summers.
It can get very hot in the summer, however there is often a gentle breeze, and there's always the pool and lots of shade.

Many shops are closed on Sundays and Mondays. Shops also tend to close between midday and about 3pm, but stay open till about 7pm.
Supermarkets are often open on Sunday morning and the larger ones stay open during the lunch break.
Restaurants tend to close at about 10pm.
